The Learning and Development Partnership produces and publishes a wide range of educational resources including books, DVDs and CDs, which are written and compiled by LDP advisers and consultants, often incorporating the work of practising teachers.   Devon LDP resources cover work from early years through to post 16 and are used by schools and teachers throughout the UK.

One of our best sellers, Take 10, is a series of multimedia language and PE resources for primary teachers which launched back in 2001 when the PE advisory team produced the first resource, Take 10 : Fit to Succeed.  With growing concern over obesity, and with the evidence that active children are more effective learners, many schools are looking for ideas to create more active young people.   This programme is now used extensively in the UK and at the last count we estimated that it is being used by over 55,000 teachers across the country.

Take 10 en français and Take 10 en español quickly followed, exploiting many of the ideas in the original publication. Already the French and Spanish versions are being used in over 20,000 schools in the UK and Take 10 auf Deutsch will be published in September 2010.

Coastal Conflicts, a Geography resource produced by LDP adviser David Weatherly and Anjana Ford from the Jurassic Coast Trust, won the Silver citation in the 2010 national Geographical Association Publishers' Awards and was described as "a rare example of high quality geographical software designed for use in primary schools which involves pupils in real and relevant geographical enquiry."

All these resources were produced by the LDP's digital media team.
