We seek to enable all young people to have access to a full learning experience through a creative entitlement curriculum.
Curriculum support and enrichment is concerned with the provision of specialist services that enable schools and settings to improve outcomes for all children and young people both in and out of the classroom. Our team approach and wide ranging collaborations with partners add value by allowing different organisations to connect and contribute to strategies and plans. Through offering a range of unique and inspirational experiences, we aim to support access to a full learning experience, promote high aspirations and give opportunities for all children and young people to achieve their full potential.
What we offer:
- Subject and Specialist Support - LDP provides comprehensive coverage of the curriculum, offering high quality advice and support across all subject areas and all phases from early years to post 16. In addition, specialist support is available to meet the needs of young people who have additional needs. This breadth of expertise allows an effective response to local priorities and school specialisms alongside national initiatives.
- Outdoor Learning Centres - We offer young people and the wider community high quality and accessible outdoor learning experiences. We pride ourselves on the wide range and variety of tailor-made programmes and courses available at our four outdoor centres.
- Music Service - The service inspires and enables all learners to enjoy frequent high quality musical experiences. The service is configured to engage schools, communities and other partners and supports music both in and out of school through hub activities and inspirational projects.
- School Library Service - The aim of the service is to make a difference to the learning and reading experiences of children and young people and to school improvement. We provide access to high quality resources, including specialist advice, regular book exchanges, topic collections, design and planning advice for improving school libraries, book promotion and purchase, training and specialised booklists.
- Learning Resources - In an increasingly virtual world, Learning Resources provides 3D objects to enhance pupils’ classroom experience. Handling authentic objects from other times and other cultures helps young people to interpret and understand our world. Learning through objects can break down barriers, whether based on gender, language or culture.
